Peter grew up in Iran, Kenya, and North Carolina as the son of missionaries. He graduated from the Rift Valley Academy then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). While at UNC Peter studied abroad in Kenya and France. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Peter received Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a youth and was baptized. But like others, had many ups and downs in his faith as he sought to work out the teachings he had received with real world experience and challenges. His walk with the Lord was filled with times of fervor and other times where he struggled to live out his faith. It was at Faith Missionary Church (FMC) in Indianapolis that Peter grew in his walk with the Lord by serving in various ministries and accepting a call to full time ministry.
Julia grew up in Chicagoland as a daughter of Korean immigrants. She graduated from Conant High School and the University of IL, at Urbana/Champaign. She pursued further studies at Rush Medical School in Chicago and completed training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Julia was raised in a Christian environment, but it was after a medical accident that she began some deep soul searching. This search led her to trust Jesus with her life.
Julia met Peter while studying at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. They were married in 2001. God blessed them with three children while they lived in the Indianapolis area for 11 years.
